- Configure Master, Slave, and Client servers then fail over from Master to Slave and try to check whether the slave is responding the client requests.
- Examine the Nis maps location and try to read maps.
- Find out the daemons running on master server and the client.
- After Configuring master Server, create some new users and try to update the nis maps.
- Understand the Difference between NIS and NIS+.
- Configure DNS server and then configure NIS on top of it without providing the enteries in the /etc/hosts file.
- Try to start the NIS server in the different available ways.
